Financial Controller

Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, we have over 400 employees located in our offices in the US, Canada and Poland. Our two polish offices are based in Kraków where the engineering teams work on the development of the products. We have around 90 people on board and we’re constantly growing.

Your role:

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the implementation, development, and management of the financial and accounting area in the Company. You will manage the area of finance, accounting, and taxes, including coordination of cooperation with an external accounting office. Reporting to the Fund's headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.


  • responsibility for financial, accounting, and tax settlements of the Polish entities
  • manage and improve our organization's financial performance and formulate sound financial strategies
  • achieve organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy
  • coordinate the budgeting process and budget implementation control 
  • analysis of the Company's costs, including the presentation of conclusions and recommendations
  • implement proper internal controls and ensure accuracy of financial, accounting, and tax information
  • evaluate and manage risk
  • direct and manage our accounting operations including coordination of cooperation with an external accounting office and supervision over the correctness and circulation of accounting documents
  • coordinate and supervise the accounting and financial reporting system.

Requirements:

  • 3 + years of experience in a similar role in IT/ Tech/ R&D company
  • solid knowledge of financial processes, tax, and accounting issues
  • experience in working in international structures
  • MS in economics (finance, accounting)
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • engagement, proactivity, and can-do attitude
  • fluent English, both written and spoken
  • very good knowledge of management accounting principles
  • experience with both GSuite products (particularly GoogleSheets) and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have:

  • ACCA / CIMA / CFA and / or additional courses
  • experience in working in an American company and knowledge of its specificity (tax dependencies, etc.)
  • experience in R&D relief implementation.
