Fullstack Developer (Java + Angular)

Centage builds Planning Maestro, a B2B SaaS FP&A platform used by finance teams across the US. The product covers budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, so you work on data that customers make real decisions on. Our engineering team in Poland is just over a dozen people and owns the entire product: backend, frontend, data, QA and infrastructure.

Experience and technologies

• At least 4 years of commercial software development experience
• Java, Angular and TypeScript: very strong command of all three, proven by work on systems you have kept running in production. This is a genuine fullstack role, not a backend role with the occasional frontend ticket.
• MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server: practical experience with both relational and non-relational databases, including the ability to diagnose and fix slow queries
• Redis: understanding of caching strategies and the trade-offs behind them
• AWS: enough working knowledge to keep your own code running in production

Working with AI

• Strong command of AI tooling in the development process. We treat this as a hard skill, on par with a programming language. What interests us is the actual craft: driving an assistant through larger changes to a codebase, controlling the quality of what it produces, and knowing where these tools fail and why. Expect us to ask for specific examples from your work.

Availability and communication

• Overlap with our US team, minimum three hours per day, with the working day starting between 8:30 and 10:00 CET. This is a hard requirement rather than a preference, since product, support and sales all sit on the other side of the Atlantic.
• English at a level that lets you communicate comfortably in writing and in meetings with the product team

Nice to have

• Experience in finance, ERP or reporting systems
• Work with observability tooling: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, JVM profilers
• Experience in a SOC 2 environment or under a comparable compliance regime

What you will work on

• Product features end to end, from the data model to the interface
• The calculation engine and the performance of operations over large financial datasets
• Integrations with customer ERP systems and other data sources
• Modernization of older parts of the system, including data model migrations
